Why we started
Side sleeping is the most common sleep position in the world — and the one mattresses and pillows are least designed for. When you lie on your side without support between your legs, your top leg drops forward. Your pelvis rotates. Your lumbar curve collapses. You spend seven or eight hours slowly pulling your own spine out of line, then wonder why your hips and lower back ache before you have even got out of bed.
Restora began with that specific, unglamorous problem. Not with a brand, not with a product line — with one question: what would it take to hold the hips, knees and spine in a neutral line all night, without the sleeper having to think about it?
How we design
We are deliberately a single-product company. Every hour we have goes into the Leg Alignment Pillow rather than into filling out a catalogue.
- Contour first. The hourglass shape is not decoration. It is what keeps the pillow seated between the knees instead of sliding out at 3am.
- High-density memory foam. Soft foam feels good in the shop and goes flat in a month. We use a denser foam that holds its height night after night — supportive rather than plush.
- A cover you can actually wash. The breathable knit cover unzips completely and machine washes cold. Anything that touches your skin nightly should be washable.
What we stand behind
We would rather tell you what the pillow does not do than oversell what it does. It is not a medical device, and it will not fix a mattress that has given up. What it does is remove the nightly rotation that side sleepers put their hips and spine through — and for most people, that is the thing that was causing the ache.
